Working with Designers and Customers
One of the best examples of what can be achieved through collaboration is Project Mythos, which received an excellent response from customers across the label industry.
The project showcased the quality and precision of our foil and embossing capabilities, while also highlighting the importance of involving specialist die makers early in the design process.
What Makes a "WOW" Product?
The best results start with good preparation. Strong artwork, combined with early technical input, helps create premium finishes that not only look impressive but also perform consistently in production.
At Tomlinson, we work closely with designers, brand owners and print partners from the beginning of each project. By reviewing artwork early and discussing the technical considerations involved, we can help identify potential challenges and ensure the final result stays true to the original creative vision.
Ginger Singh Kauldhar, Business Development Director at Tomlinson, comments:
"The relationship between the designer, customer and die maker is incredibly important. Whether we are working on a luxury label, premium carton, book cover or bespoke packaging project, our aim is to help bring creative ideas to life through foiling, embossing, debossing and combination die solutions. By being involved early, we can share our experience, offer guidance and help customers achieve the best possible result."
Many of our successful projects come from close teamwork between our customers, designers, engravers and production teams. From reviewing the initial artwork through to manufacturing the dies and supporting the finishing process, every stage is carefully considered to ensure the finished dies deliver the intended result.
Reflecting on Tomlinson's approach to working with customers, Ginger Singh Kauldhar adds:
"Premium packaging is created when creativity and technical expertise come together. Our role is not just to manufacture a die, but to work alongside our customers and help them understand what is possible. By sharing our knowledge and experience, we can encourage designers to explore the full potential of foil and embossing and give them the confidence to use these finishes in their projects."

We are also pleased to have collaborated with Windles Group on a new co-branded brochure, bringing together our expertise in premium print and finishing.
The brochure showcases foil and emboss embellishments, demonstrating what can be achieved when specialists across the print industry combine their knowledge and experience.
We look forward to sharing this with our customers soon.
